Warning! I first went to Vie Nie Phoon because of the great reviews, and was happy with the first appointment, but then I had a bad experience and no reply to a letter I sent to the board. I went in for 3 fillings on one side of my mouth. During the appointment the dentist appeared hasty and frantic and numbed all 4 quarters of my mouth. I was confused at the time and thought I must not have read the treatment plan correctly, but when i went home I saw that the treatment plan showed that that appointemnt was for 3 filings on 1 side. Unbeknownst to me until I got the bill, I had been given 7 filings in one hour. When the anesthetic wore off I was in immense pain and could not chew properly. I returned after a few days later only to be told by Dr Phoon that it was a sinus infection and that that is a common side effect of Dr Phoon's fillings. On visiting another dentist for a second opinion, I discovered it was not a sinus infection. In her haste, Dr Phoon had unnecessarily killed a tooth and left me with a myriad of problems including now requiring a root canal, and an incorrect bite which caused me an inability to eat properly and months of severe neck pain. On reporting the occurance to the office manager I was told to write to the board, but my letter to the board has so far gone unanswered. They seem really nice and professional at this clinic, so I am not sure what went wrong, and it was odd how I later met someone who had had 2 teeth killed while getting what were meant to be straight forward filings at Wangaratta Dental Clinic.

The best service, I was almost having a panic attack when it would be time to go to the Dentist. Now I am relaxed and very conferdent and go every 6 mths instead of every 2 yrs. Have been and had my second clean for the year . What an amazing , caring team. Love the new refurbishment as well

Highly recommend Dr. Veinee Phoon. She is absolutely brilliant! I wanted to change dentists as I was not much of a fan of who I used to see as she was recommended to me I gave her a go and could not be happier. I had a check up and clean - then an extraction of a wisdom tooth. Dr. Phoon was extremely gentle and made my experience as pain free as she possibly could she was very comforting and explained each step. Her staff were also fantastic, there two nurses were very supporting and very friendly and the receptionist Matt was also very friendly and explained everything very well on his end. I will defiantly be going back there for regular 6 monthly visits.
