We stayed in the Quality Hotel Wangaratta over the Easter break. Considering that the stay in the hotel surprised us pleasantly we thought of trying the in-house restaurant which looked very appealing. On the second day after our stay, we ventured into the Atrium Restaurant after a booking which was almost full for a place like Wangaratta and its reason is – good food. We had chicken dish with two side dishes – pumpkin and beans. They may be side dish for some but for us it was sufficient as mains. We had never tasted beans done in such a manner and being fresh bean from the region tasted very good. Chef having an artistic flair, the vegetarian side dishes had a very nice presentation which made even more tempting to eat. I feel that both the Hotel and the restaurant are hidden gen in the High Country of Victoria.

Compliments to the chef! The rhubarb compote on this pork sirloin fillet is to die for. A delicious salad with sweet and sour perfectly combined. Great service even on a busy night.
Both my wife and I were fortunate to share the official opening of The Gateway in the mid 80's. Its design, build and decor was far beyond its time. It has seen a number of improvements over the years. We are still regulars to its wonderful functions, accommodation and dining out.
Has a very relaxing ambiance to dine in with family and friends. My partner said he had the best kilpatrick oysters here so far. I love their cocktails and mains. I recommend this place if your passing by Wangaratta.
We visited The Atrium on our honeymoon in search of something special. We discovered an excellent dining and service experience. Staff were attentive without being overbearing, immaculately presented and the food was delicious. Would not hesitate to recommend. Thanks to Wendy, Adrian, Kathlyn and Trainee. :)
Spectacular! Was hoping to find a place that wasn't booked for a special honeymoon dinner and stumbled across this gem. They managed to squeeze us in and the service and food was impeccable. Absolutely brilliant!
Excellent food with friendly and attentive staff in a Covid friendly setting. We had an awesome night.
