Great spot for morning tea and a wander around to house. Informative volunteers are very welcoming.

Friendly and great service from the staff. Grounds and buildings very nicely maintained. Plenty of wildlife moving around. Great views from the back balcony. Great tea and coffee and selection of snacks (Entry to the house is included with food purchase) Great historical site. Plenty of parking and shady areas for a picnic. Highly recommended visiting.

One of Australia's most unique historic houses situated at one of the many bends in the Brisbane River. The National Trust has done a fantastic job of keeping this property true to its heritage as well as accessible, educational and fun.

We ordered high-tea, using Groupon. They use organic tea from Byron Bay. We could try different tea, which was very generous. Staff were very friendly. We stayed there from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. I would recommend you to stay a bit late and enjoy the quiet afternoon. Very relaxing.

Worth a look just for the Devonshire Tea. A bit of colonial history too. Not far out of Brisbane.

A very well presented step back in time look at our early settlement along the Brisbane river. We took the time to enjoy high tea on the terrace and were very pleased.
