Great for a treat but went to watch a heavy dialogue movie (The Courier) but next door in cinema one a action movie was on and all throughout the movie all you heard was the constant droning of the other movie.

Fantastic movie... “Long Story Short” is amazing and witty. The cinema was clean and stylish and just what I needed today. Some escapism is good for the soul. Not busy at all only 3 couples and 2 singles in the cinema.
Today we suppose me and my partner booked a ticket to watch long story short at 2 pm in gold class. However, before we walk in to the cinema a staff she looks like a manager pulled us out and told us we have to check in with staffs before we go in. We have never experienced that in Carindale cinema. Therefore, we bought our own coffee before our movie and she told us have to sit outside before we go in and she said “ did anyone told you that before?”. I am understand that is our fault to brought coffee with us even we don’t know we can’t do it but me and my partner felt really small by her approached. The end, I have to refund my money due to her service and we hope the management team can provide further training for their service towards customer.
The place looks well but the customer service at the ticket counter can be greatly improved. I was served by two different people and both of their customer service was below par. The first staff (male with medium height and dark hair) was not friendly at all. He could be more polite and kind. The other staff (a female) was friendly and nice but did not understand the seat I wanted. I specified I wanted a seat and she got me a different one. She could be more present at the task at hand. In general, the management has a lot of room in improving the ambiance/vibe of that place with more training and focusing on friendly, positive, kind and apt customer service
Gold class was a bit like bronze class unfortunately. The alcohol is expensive... I'm ok with that but I do expect a gin & tonic to have lime. Also was flat, no bubbles. The little table at our seats had food smudged on the top. I went to the bar and asked for a serviette and was told someone would come and clean it properly... Never happened. The seats are very comfortable and well spaced. The toilets were very dirty, looks like grime from more than a day of movie sessions. I have attached a photo of the walls beside the urinal... GROSS. Maybe a dedicated manager is needed for gold class. Movie was good, sound system good. I guess I expected a higher standard for the top of the line cinema experience. W2
I paid 99 dollars- the ultimate date. Food was very salty, we had the super salty nachos replaced but not the sliders (buns/ beef patties burnt) and chips. Chips were salty and overcooked. Very disappointed with the quality of food after spending all that money. I got a 32 dollar event cinemas gift card as a refund for chips and sliders but that wasn’t good enough for me especially after I had paid all that money only to go home hungry. They informed me they could not refund me for the salty food through my card or cash so I got the gift card instead. The movie was nice but if paying for the gold class movie experience, it should be worth every penny. No movie food ever again.
Was a bit worried going back to the movies. Clean and helpful staff. Glad to be back enjoying the cinema experience
