Was feeling like having Indian tonight and found this place on google. Simply fabulous!!! The food was fresh, delicious and authentic. Not to mention, the price was economical too. Would highly recommend others to go & try.

I would give a zero, if I could We visited the Mt. Gravatt restaurant yesterday. We ordered chicken biryani, gobi 65 chinese dish and chicken tikka naan. To start with, the cap of the water bottle was dirty, had mould around it. The food was so disappointing. 1. The biryani, we have had it there before, wasn't as bad. Yesterday, it just looked like some yellow coloured rice with a couple of chicken pieces. No flavour or taste whatsoever of a biryani. With all modesty, I can make better biryani at home. 2. The naan, there was hardly any or no chicken stuffing in it at all. My daughter says it was just onions and tiny bit of grated carrots here and there. 3. The chinese dish, was like it had only onion and tomato paste. No flavour or taste of a indo-chinese dish. When I informed the waitress, she said, that's how it tastes????? Despite covid, when there are no restrictions, we would like to eat out abiding by the rules and to support the local businesses. But if the food served is bad, it doesn't help. I am never going back to Dosa Hut again. And importantly, I have read similar reviews about all the three dishes we ordered from 2 years ago, and some of the owner's responses. Apparently, you are aware of the mediocre quality of the food. Then why hasn't anything been done about it???? Also arrogantly, you reply saying why did you empty the plates.... people also come to your restaurant when they are very hungry, can't go back home soon and cook.

Took hubby for a Father’s Day dinner today and that was the best Indian food We had !! It’s not our first time at Dosa Hut but today the Mandi Biryani was delicious & amazing would feed a family of 2 or 3 for 30 by it self! and their new special menu is great!10️️️️️️️️️️ for today. The special Dosa I have ordered was the best Dosa I ever had! And my son has enjoyed his yummy noodles as well. Many thanks to the chef \u200d:) & the staff who were very friendly & welcoming all the time . I am a very happy customer with what we had today.

THE JUMBO BIRYANI IS VALUE FOR MONEY!! It can easily feed 8 hungry boys! Flavour was great! Except mild was a bit too hot. Please make a less spicy level

My default answer to eating out is always South Indian, specifically Uttapam. So when we decided to visit this Dosa Hut I was assured of good food given my impressions from Melbourne Restaurant. I was a bit disappointed, unfortunately. The food here is not terribly bad but doesn't wow or even pleased me either. Uttapam was mildly less fermented while the Coconut chutney was less coconut more peanut (psst.. good substitute is roasted chanadal) while wifes Bhaji Pav was low in salt. The mango lassi was fresh and tasteful however. In the end the food was much like their ordering process, a bit lacking in the human touch and also taste.

This was possibly the worst experience I've had at a restaurant in Australia, and I didn't even get to try the food. The minute you walk in the door you are greeted with VERY loud music echoing off the cheap décor. The sign-in app asks you to join a newsletter, be promoted to, and accept conditions. All with disregard to State directives to NOT use patron check-in details for any other purposes than related to COVID. The menu is online. The system is clunky and usability design and implementation is VERY poor. There are a few photos of food but most of the staggeringly long menu is without photos. And, for the most part, without meaningful description, just titles. Where there are descriptions these are almost a word-for-word repeat of the title. I am sure a native of India would have no trouble but for an Australian with no prior knowledge of the dishes it is pure guesswork. When I went to the counter to ask for help the waitress gave me a paper menu to take back to the table. “Fantastic” I though until I opened it to find it too provide no description of the food. So I ask another waiter for help. He came to the table with a pen and offered to take our order rather than us entering the order into the web app. I asked for descriptions of some items but, he just shook his head and smiled while saying “what would you like to order?” With the noise, the menu app, the check-in app, the lack of help - I just had to leave.
