Beautiful place. It’s the best place for many things.. Birthday parties, functions and corporate events. It’s not just a water park.. Gumbuya world also comprises of dry areas like adventure rides, a mini zoo where you can pat the animals.. there is adventure zone.. tge water park has amazing, terrific water slides for all ages.. overall a great experience at the park. Downside of the park is the vegetarian food. There isn’t good options for vegetarians. Just chips and veggie pizza. The salad wrap is awful.. Outside food is not allowed as well.. so it becomes a bit difficult for vegetarians.. I strongly suggest Gumbuya cafe to introduce a bit more Vegetarian options..

Lucky for us it was not so busy, even during school holidays - the boys aged 11-14 had an awesome day out, heaps to do and the fast pass really came in handy by the afternoon. Plenty of seats and parking available, food was reasonably priced (fed 5 people - no drinks - with leftover food for 52). There was a longish wait in the lunch line though so don’t leave until you’re starving. Was a really fun day out. Oh and the petting zoo was the best and cutest we’ve ever been to!
Excellent! Easily the best theme park in Melbourne. Everything is excellent. Whole park is clean and tidy. We had the added benefit of it being very quiet too
Totally value for money. It has some lovely classic rides and has a wildlife experience that will make you feel you are in Australia. It comes with good amount of snacks options. I feel they can reduce the extra amount they charge for locker service but other than that it is a nice place to spend your day. Better go by car because public transport could be little exhausting if you go from Melbourne.
Gumbuya world is targeted for smaller children. I enjoyed the wildlife park however it was quite small and underwhelming. We finished walking around the wildlife section in less than 1 hour which was very disappointing. We went to the ride section and it was underwhelming as well. And what else can I say about the food? It was not enjoyable at all. If you have small children then they'll enjoy it. But not recommended for older children. We did meet a fiesty peacock when we went into the bird enclosure. That was the highlight of the day.
Had a great time here yesterday (Sunday). It was a hot day so I was a bit worried but what we did was get there early (930). There was already queues to get in but not too bad. We went in and found a spot to set up in shade and we were set! You can bring your own tents to set up on grassed areas. I went straight to the rides with my kids (aged 6 and 7). Barely any queues and they got to go on everything with little wait time. We then headed to the water and the queue for the water slides was fairly long, about 30-40min but we didn't mind too much. The only annoying thing was we were told my little one could tandem down the slide with someone but then at the top told he was too small so he had to get the lift down With one of us. If I was to go back again, I would do the waterslides first to get a go on them all as we chose to only do one but I'm happy with the way we did it this time as it was more enjoyable for the kids. Lazy river is great. My boys weren't a fan of the big bucket spilling on them as it was quite forceful but that's just them, other kids seem to love it. We headed to the animals but it was so so hot down that section so we went back to lay in the pool. Food was good and not too expensive. All in all, had a great day!
Almost two weeks ago, We were carrying our 6yrs kid walking inside Wildlife section on the pedestrian road, suddenly a giant long tree branch dropped and was so close to our heads and hit one's arm and waist. Large areas of bruise and scratch!! We were so scared, as it could easily lead to paralysis or even death if such heavy object from such height hit the head! Luckily not head hit, and not our little kid, only adult got injured at this time. Please see uploaded video & photo to see how horrible it was!! -- Tree branch has already been moved away from pedestrian road. Was dropping right on top of the pedestrian road!! -- The height of the dropped branch is from the position at the right end of video, that height!! Later the operation manager showed up and helped did some First Aid. However we were so disappointed at seeing this operation manager's being so so professional at shrinking responsibilities, things like everyone can make mistake, or we hire outside company to check the trees, it shouldn't drop, balabala, We didn't even feel any conforming or sympathy. It took a while to recover both physically and mentally, especially we are still afraid of walking close to the tree. Disappointed at Gumbuya's reactions towards such horrible incident If can select 0 star or negative ones, definitely will do!
Absolutely amazing experience. Went as a group for a birthday party. The events team did a fantastic job with our group of 13 kids and 5 adults 2 complimentary adults. Everything was smooth, the food supplied for the birthday party was tasty and served fresh and hot. The team set aside a designated table for food, we hired a couple of daybeds which were great investment and did a close encounter with snake. Thanks to the team at Gumbuya the service was AAA. We will definitely be back again and highly recommend to everyone.
