Did my HLTAID004 for First Aid in childcare setting. The instructor was excellent, very informative and also made the class fun. She also took time to listen to everyone and answer their questions. Came away very satisfied and more importantly have now have the knowledge to take into child care setting. Would highly recommend anyone needing to do a First Aid Course to use CBD College. :-)

Why is it That Americans have a CPR resuscitate and survival rates Way ahead of Oz. Why is that I was fortunate enough to have a science teacher in the 80 s who taught Me First Aid ,can and will save the people you care about and love . And the people you may not know,but are loved In the same respect. I’ve gone though refresher courses though the years To keep my skills up. Done my first aid training there today as part of my certificate 3 in child care. Kumar and Geoff were so helpful, passionate and knowledgeable. Will definitely recommend and hope to come back for my refresher courses
My colleague and I just did Cert IV TAE and I only have extremely positive things to say about CBD College. The best thing about the whole course was our trainer Alka! Extremely knowledgeable and the most beautiful soul! Explains everything thoroughly to ensure everyone understood what was expected of them. The course was intense but I absolutely loved it and would never have managed to get through without Alka. I have learnt so much, not just about the Cert IV but also about myself. booked one of our employees on a 2 hour course that was scheduled to finish at 11am, course went 2 hours overtime causing all sorts of issues with customers he was booked to see that afternoon. called CBD who were less than helpful.
First aid training - The practical training was generic as it comes but what do you expect from a standardised first aid model, the online training had incorrect answers and wasted my time and feel that other people have failed thier first aid or have been incorrectly trained. Go to a real first aid training course if you actually need to know what your doing and not just needing a cheap certificate. If you just want the paper then yeah use these guys. It's cheap and quick.
I completed the Cert IV TAE recently with the lovely trainer, Alka. I would recommend this course to those who are able to engage in self directed learning, and have strong computer skills. The course is full on from the first moment. The 2 weeks fly past and every day is packed with information and tasks to get done. It manages to fulfill all of the contact requirements in those 2 weeks (Actually 9 days, as the 10th is a day to review for which you can return as many times as you need). Life suspended for those 2 weeks and for a number of weekends after that but I found it a very effective way of learning (though you have a year to complete all tasks, I chose to complete the tasks ASAP). Remember it is a Cert IV level and is meant to take at least 400 hours of work to achieve all the benchmarks! CBD have constructed a course that gives you the bones in 2 weeks and the tools to go away and complete fleshing out the tasks. They also provide regular review days so if you are stuck at home with anything, you can arrange a time with your trainer to get help as needed. The support provided was wonderful - Thank You Alka! Read their information regarding attendance, requirements and pre-learning! Nothing is hidden, you just need to take some personal responsibility for making the most of the course they have designed.
CBD College trainers are excellent, as they as generally punctual, highly knowledgeable in ther subject area, and often have good industry experience. I have done Provide First Aid and CPR course three times ar CBD and each experience was mostly positive. Unfortunately, however, recently CBD College seems to have dropped the ball in terms of customer service. On the website CBD College promises to not cancel first aid courses, however I was asked to reschedule my booked day course to the following week in Feb, 2017. Also, CBD College doesn't answer phone calls within a reasonable time and the automated call redirection didn't seem to send me to a real person on 3 occasions. Theu would do well to improve these points.
