Please, do not use. 1st) I wanted a service and for them to look at my ignition problem. 700 later, they explained it was my battery terminals. Problem did not go away, it was my ignition switch in the end that I needed fixed elsewhere. 2nd) They explained I needed to replaced my master clutch cyclinder.. two days later, I could not shift gears. Had my car towed back to Ultra tune Townsville, where they explained nothing is wrong. Now, after going to another mechanic, I know I need transmission reconditioned, but at the time they laughed and thought I made it up. They even kept my car out the back when picking it up and all the 'mechanics' laughed at me. 3rd) When finally picking up my car, I noticed grease all over the front end of my car. When I said something, they attempted to clean it and explained how it's normal.. the grease was everywhere. Very disappointed with my service here. Spent in excess of 1400 for very little. Maybe they can do simple jobs, but nothing major.
I 've seen some negative reviews for this mob. If this is not the service you want, what else can you get? Highly recommended Ultra Tune, Cheers!
Do not go to Ultra Tune Townsville! They charged me 210 to replace the air condition belt and 10 min after that, I had to call roadside assistance because of smoke coming out from my car! The problem was the compressor, not the belt. They did not even check the car properly. The rude boss told me that was safe to drive with the belt on and the compressor broken. We told him that we consider taking off the belt as the best option, then he said “no worries, I will spray the belt and it will be just a little bit noisy”. He rejected to give me money back even though there was a warranty in the receipt. I am very shocked by the way he wanted to be right, even if we had already spoken to another mechanic who told us “lucky that you called road assistance and not try to keep driving”. Anyways, I am happy with the conversation I had with the mechanic, but obviously not with the boss, who does not really know a lot about cars. Well, this is just a part of the story, but I am sharing it cause I don’t want other people to experience the same. I’ve got the pics of the tax invoice (we pay at 12:21), and the message of the road assistance coming to our location less than one hour after leaving the mechanic. Also the “new belt” broken. There is not much else to tell... just disappointing. I dont know how to add the pics here, but feel free to contact me if you want to have a look. If I could give this place 0 stars I honestly would. Worst experience I have ever had with a mechanic. Misdiagnosis of issue, excessive cost and multiple visits to correct initial problem. Had to seek an alternate mechanic to fix the work of Ultra Tune. Staff are unwilling to accept wrongdoing and provide any refund, blatantly disregarding their own warranty. Horrible experience and encourage all others to take notice of the numerous low reviews of this business.
Quality service, professional staff and great pricing!! Will come back, cheers!
