So many rangers driving around in fancy tax paid car writing tickets meanwhile the streets are filthy, the victoria park strip is filthy. Staff are unhelpful and arrogant.
Desperate for money after COVID I guess, giving fines left and right.
This council is the epitome of revenue raisers. DO NOT BOTHER leaving your car to purchase a parking ticket because by the time you get back, you would have been fined for not having a ticket displayed. I’ve personally come across a disrespectful parking inspector who is not afraid of making derogatory comments towards you. Also, paid street parking on a public holiday? Come on! Residents from all over WA come to Victoria Park to support local businesses, but all of us feel so shunned away because of these ridiculous bylaws. Victoria Park is only thriving because of the fruitful businesses and tax payers. I personally do not find the council’s thieving practices attractive at all. There is no future in this town if they continue to be such. I won’t be surprised if the new 6 month free/paid parking trial will be a flop. There is absolutely no research that needs to be undertaken to decide if a 5, 15 or 30 minutes free parking bay should be increased to 60 minutes. How about taking a look at how many time related parking infringements the council has handed out in the past six months and put these new laws in place? Stop wasting tax payers’ hard earned money on these sorts of useless “research” and be more proactive about taking action asap. I would have given zero stars if possible. Terrible, atrocious and corrupt people who run this town council.
Everyone I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and polite. It's nice to get that after having dealt with so many shires over the years with some being rude or having no interest in assisting you. Thanks girls!
Absolutely terrible service. I've been going back and forth for 6 months now about a parking fine and nobody has answered any of my questions. No regard or courtesy whatsoever.
Rigid and bureaucratic. There are many big fish in small pond in Vic Park council. If not because of the proximity to the city, no one would want to live there.
