Such a pretty little cafe on the foreshore of lovely Lake Macquarie. A lovely fresh ambiance greets you, as you walk in and your eyes adjust to the neat design, tastefully filled with happy, healthy plants. After you enjoy the vibe, head up to the front counter and check out the stellar service with a smile. Order a coffee, which will taste fantastic. Order off the varied menu, with options to suit anyone, vegetarian, vegan, or gluten free. The food is cooked with care and the staff are proud of their products. Would love to bump this up to 5 stars with just a few more vegan options. If I didn't have dietary restrictions this would be an easy 5 stars.

Was quite disappointing having lunch here today with a friend i hadnt seen in a while. Besides the wonderful weather and lovely seating outside we chose to sit inside. We had the lovely window view over the street and lake. We sat down on our reserved a table. They had napkins, plates and water cups prepared so after about 20mins we realised this was counter service. No one welcomed us. No one told us to go to the counter and order. There was no water to be seen. We needed to ask. The lovely girl behind the counter was hard to hear behind the plastic barrier with the noise inside and I was disappointed in the gf and df options. I had the summer berry salad and my friend had the squid. Her squids was very over cooked and disappointing. My salad was fine but missed the avocado which was stated on the menu. Probably wont come beck here.
The lamb wrap is the best wrap I've ever had. Chips couldn't be better. Vege bowl was great too. Big servings. Plenty of gluten free and vegan options. Outdoor dog friendly seating. Although it was a very hot day the outdoor shaded area was cool with a nice breeze off the lake. Staff were efficient, meal and drinks came fast although they were busy. Cannot fault our experience.
Location Right on the main street and the lake. Good variety of food. Tasty desserts. Friendly, polite staff. Good coffee too. Might need to park in Toronto Town Centre car park under Coles. There is timed street parking but it's very relaxing at Doubletake and you won't want to rush.
Great service with our little group. Food was really good and enjoyable. Great little Cafe for a stop off.
