Thornton, Australia

All trains stop and the station is accessible with elevators due to the Maitland area traditionally being a marginal electorate and often having money wasted on it. The station is isolated from the main part of the suburb, but in reality Thornton is very isolated and doesn't really have a main part. This station is useful to locals who like extremely long walks with no footpaths or shelter and to visitors who want to visit people in Thornton and are up for an extremely long walk with no footpaths or shelter.

Not a long wait for a train. Also many bus sevices throughout the day. Not really busy except through the week in the mornings.
Toilets are always clean and open. Inside waiting room. The opal ticket machine only accepts card payment. But you can top up with cash at Thornton Newsagency.
Thornton Railway Station is a wheelchair accessible station, with elevators and 2 platforms. Passenger services are frequent to arrive into this station.. nice, clean, friendly station.
Good to see the smaller towns (and their subsequent stations) getting better equipped for accessibility and public utilisation.
