I literally got Pretty Woman'd here. It was a hot day so I changed out of my work clothes to a light dress and sandals on my way home. When I enquired about two chairs the store owner said they are REALLY expensive and continued to say similar chairs are REALLY expensive. Had to ask again what the price was, and his answer felt like a test. Ive been round the block long enough to read these signals clearly, he was more helpful when I continued to probe for assistance. Store itself has great stock - strongly on the gem over junk side.

Finally good to see some interesting vintage shops opening in my local. Already bought quite a few pieces and the vinyl records are great. A big regular, great staff/owners? They find interesting things and the shop always has a good vibe and good music. Havent seen many other shops around of late with the quantity and quality and eclectic mix of stock. No idea how you find it all. Cheers guys for bringing something good to the north.
This place is an over-priced vintage store that sells your usual junky items at inflated prices. Everything seemed more expensive than any other places I visited and I would understand it if they were in great used condition, but they weren't. A couple of items that caught my eye had more flaws than I preferred. It didn't make sense that I would pay top price for old dusty prints that were scratched, bubbled up or covered with coffee spillage! Total waste of a trip because I found the same print I was eyeing in fabulous condition on eBay and a bitossi vase and a lovely west german vase at local charity shops, all at very reasonable to bargain prices. Going in, I did expect that prices would be a bit of a premium being a store, but I certainly didn't expect to recieve a message alerting me they had a "verry rare tretchikoff" print that "You will never find another" at the astronomical price of 895! I found the print unappealing and the pricing offensive. My only guess is that a premium is added on top of a premium just by being on their 'list'. The person who message me obviously could not handle the feedback that I thought their price was crazy because this person messaged me back to say and I quote, "I'll take you off the list" - as if I cared - and that "Things aren't a crazy price if they're rare. Enjoy your common pieces." Unbelievable lack of grace and totally outrageous coming from someone who runs a store filled with pricey secondhand wares that can be easily sourced elsewhere for cheaper. I just cannot imagine how anyone can justify spending the prices this place is asking but I'm glad it's not my money.
