Avoid this place like the plague if you can. If your specialist can only operate here, go to another specialist, if at all possible. Booked in for cataract surgery, after being prepped and wasting my time (had to arrive at 6:30 am), was told that the surgery was cancelled because the hospital had no suction operating, and of course suction is essential for surgery. How a vital piece of equipment such as that could be allowed to fail in a private hospital (read "") is beyond comprehension. And don't complain about phones not being answered, because that seems common as well. Maybe there is a competition to see how long unanswered phones can ring for? And when the phone finally rings out, no facility to leave a message. (which probably wouldn't be returned?) Messages left on the web page also a waste of time, they go ignored. Premises look tired, and badly need a good renovation. No reflection on the nursing staff who are pleasant and no doubt competent; but management seems to need a big shake up. This hospital hardly inspires confidence, just read all the other poor reviews.

I couldn't be happier with the care I have received at The Sydney Private Hospital! One of the best hospitals I have visited in a while! All staff is extremely helpful and caring. The ladies at the reception desk attended to my needs straight away. During my stay at the hospital I was blessed with receiving quite a few "get well" gifts from my family and friends. The ladies at the reception brought it up to my room whenever I wasn't able to do so myself.

I went in as I suffer with lower back sciatic pain. So I was very lucky to be able to join the outpatient programme covered by my health fund. Having physio and hydrotherapy. Really assisted me. The dr I consulted with and the amazing team of physios were beyond words. If you have the opportunity to be able to have rehabilitation as an outpatient. Don’t hesitate to do so. They are amazing also with all the Covid safety that they have in place.

I have just spent two nights at The Sydney Private Hospital in Ashfield. My stay there was one of the best Hospital experiences I have had. The doctors and nursing staff could not have been more helpful and friendly and nothing was ever to much to ask. My room was clean and tidy, the food that was served all through out the day and night great. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this Hospital to friends. Thanks Les.

My 87 year old husband was admitted to this hospital to have a corneal transplant. We were told on three occasions that it would be a day procedure only. I was expecting to bring him home when the hospital called and said he would be staying the night. I had to drive quite a long distance to bring his nightwear and medication. When I arrived at 6pm he had been given no food at all even though he is diabetic and had starved since 7 am as directed. No reason was given for keeping him overnight but I had to demand food for him. Nothing was offered to him after the surgery- not a sandwich or biscuit. I cannot believe it. Finally at 6.45 a meal arrived for him. If I had not demanded it he would have gone hungry or worse still had a diabetic episode. Who is responsible for this debacle? I am very reluctant to leave him here overnight.

My mum had cataract surgery there... when i came back to pick her up with my young children, we were denied access upstairs to pick her up and was made to feel like i had done something wrong because of them. To make me feel even more uncomfortable, there was some random woman stalking us at the snack machine while we were waiting for my mother to be brought down... Just in case we escape in the lift... how pathetic seriously!

My hospital stay at Sydney Private Hospital was the best hospital stay I have ever had. The staff are efficient and caring, the rooms are nice and it is the most quietest hospitals ever. This whole experience for me has been a very calm and relaxed with leaving me well rested to continue my recovery at home. I would like to thank the staff that looked after me very much. This is how all hospitals should be ️️️️️️
