TERRIBLE PLACE! I have been here for my birthday and the security guards stand and unnecessarily watch certain people just for the sake of it. I believe it was because my friends and I just turned 18 so they felt as if a few girls keeping to themselves had to be watched, even though we were following COVID rules... They were also very rude about it all. When I tell you that we had about 6 security guards watching our EVERY move.... they got in our faces and yelled at us for no reason. It was truly not enjoyable. Besides that, I did have a good time. Great music and drinks, The place is beautiful inside. The second time I went was a complete disaster on their behalf. We made A booking and they told us that they simply did not care about our booking as they were full (if they are going to turn people away who have a booking, why even have the option to book in the first place?!?). It is such a shame that the argyle has these issues because it really can be a fun place! I never write reviews, but I feel like this has to be said, as I have noticed similar complaints about their service...

Very organized and courteous staff. To order from your table is a big plus and no delay in delivering the order on the table....would certainly go back. Would have given a 5 if the beer had some more options...

Absolutely fantastic venue. Celebrated a friends birthday here and the venue manger Sean and his team went above and beyond to make sure our night was fabulous. Thanks again and we will definitely be back :)

This place is a joke, they are a scam and take your money. They make you pay for entry and kick you out for no reason at all. If your not dressed for a wedding or some sort of high end function you will not be let in. absolute joke

This place boasts friendly staff; pricey drinks (but that's a given considering its location); a strange but amusing toilet situation; tasty food; and a brilliant atmosphere. I've never had a bad experience here.

Kicked us out when we were next to sober. Payed too much to be in there for an hour. Couldn’t even give us a reason because they knew were sober. Don’t go here they are sexist. Only the girls go kicked out, not the guys. Won’t be returning!

Gaurd harassed the girls in my group. When we responded negatively he asked us to leave. We arrived early with a large group. At 9:30 pm we were walking to the bar to order our third drink. A guard grabs my ours cousins physically and starts giving them a hard time. My girlfriend steps in to say that it was inappropriate to touch them physically and to question why they were being harassed. When she responds this way, surprised and negatively, at the physical nature of his actions and the baseless harassment the guard takes it as a sign of aggression and or drunkenness from us and tells us we have to leave. My girlfriend continued to question whether we were being removed because we were calling him out. We were not drunk, but even if we were grabbing a woman physically and aggressively is not professional or appropriate. While we understand that security has compete discretion to remove someone at any time for no reason at all, grabbing a woman like this is inappropriate and unprofessional behavior and continuing to remove us when we respond negatively on the guise that we have "had too much to drink" is nothing short of an abuse of power. You don't have to be drunk to stand up to a strange man who grabs you even if he is wearing a uniform.

Average food. Average happy hour. Do not bother coming here with a group, security guards will make you feel uncomfortable and just an overall uninviting establishment. Highly recommend the Orient Hotel 1 min walk down on the corner they have great service, rooftop, food is fab. staff and management fantastic :)
