Beer and atmosphere are always great. Food most of the time is not! Steak always overcooked, same for burger, dry meat and dry bread and with weird patty. Chips not so tasty, you can find better pubs for that. Guinness pie is good!

Marvelous place. Great for having a beer while reading a book.

Great beef pie and mash. Lots of meat and very generous portions all round. Cute pub with nice down to earth vibe.

Great food in a relaxed atmosphere. Beef and Guinness Pie and Bangers and mash are the pick for me. Dog friendly and a Surry Hills favourite.

Truly massive Guiness pie, could do with a wider selection of beers or more sides.

Been outside on the corner a million times and had never tried it until today 14 August 2020, came with my mother with mobility issues, we were welcomed with cordiality and a huge Irish smile, the staff are lovely and very welcoming! This was so pleasing and truly made us feel at home. The service was superb! Warm, open body language and chirpy yet professional staff. Their compliance to covid safety was amazing without a glitch. The place is immaculately clean, no exaggeration, the toilets are spotless and everything from the table tops to the cutlery is just spotless, clean and shiny. Mum was very impressed with the state of the floors etc. No pub smells here! Warm and cozy atmosphere with a historical feel. Great food at fantastic prices, honestly no room for improvement here (and I'm quite picky and particular) Loved it and cannot recommend it more!
