The OzSky Star Safari is located in Coonabarabran, Australia on Warrumbungles Mountain Motel, 882 Timor Rd. The OzSky Star Safari is rated 5 out of 5 in the category observatory in Australia. The OzSky Star Safari is an exclusive event hosted by the volunteers of 3RF Australia on the outskirts of Coonabarabran, New South Wales - The Astronomy Capital of Australia. The primary aim of The OzSky Star Safari is to provide astronomers from the Northern Hemisphere (and elsewhere) with not only a unique Australian cultural experience, but more importantly a unique opportunity to experience the grandeur of the southern night skies through a number of large, high quality astronomical instruments without the need to transport large telescopes from one side of the world to the other. Formerly known as the Deepest South Texas Star Safari due to it's founding attendees coming primarily from Texas, the name "OzSky Star Safari" has now been adopted to reflect the expanding demographic of amateur and professional astronomers now attending this popular event on a regular basis.

I have been to 3 classics and 1 southern spring version. I'm also a veteran of many other star parties, with 10 years at Okie-Tex, and I'm an AL Platinum level observer. I'm hardcore as it gets, and Lachlan and the crew are the most professional, courteous, hands down best team you'll ever have a chance to observe with. They are a credit to their nation and a gift to amateur astronomy. Get off yer butt and go see the Southern Sky!!!
