Wonderful location, food and drinks. Amazing service. Had the signature banquet menu, great flavours and very fresh. Best Salt and pepper prawns I’ve ever had in Sydney. The spicy Margarita is RED HOT!

I love this place. The food is amazing, seriously you have to try the eggplant dish! And the staff are so great, every time I go they are attentive, even when it’s busy they take the time to do the little things; like warn you that a dish is spicy, tell you the best way to eat a certain thing, and even gave us extra rice with our leftover chicken dish so there was enough for lunch the next day.
The food here is amazing! I was first introduced to the Malaya 18 years ago and the standard has never dropped. I eat here about two or three times a year and was very pleased to see the social distancing in place. Well done!
Came here for team lunch and we had the banquet set. Malaya curry beef, prawns and lemak chicken skewer were my favorite. The rest on the menu were just ok. Pork san choy bow and kwai du didn’t have much flavor. However, the service here’s attentive and it’s top notch.

This place is really nice. It is located in barangaroo right near the water and offers water / harvour views as well. The staff is welcoming, friendly and attentive. The food is great for size and quality. Every time i went there we had the banquet which i can highly recommend. You get to pick a few things for each course and i have not left there ever in any form disappointed. Good place, highly recommended.

5 stars in all aspects: quality, wine menu, service, location. My wife and I have been going to The Malaya for the past 5 years and it remains to be our number one restaurant. Their staff is soprofessional and friendly even if their food wasn't as good, we'd still continue to go there.
