Super neat kitchen, staff very well presented. Bar staff were welcoming and friendly without pretentiousness. Very accommodating! The pub is pure class. Simple yet sophisticated menu items, very modern. I had the chicken schnitzel (28) which was big and served piping hot and fresh, as were the excellent chips. Only took about 7 minutes for the food to arrive, so an excellent business lunch spot. The salad was also nice, leaves with fennel and a not too overpowering dressing. One criticism is the gravy was very thin and watery with clumps of uncooked flour and served cold, I really think you need a good gravy with a schnitzel! Otherwise, brilliant. They had super fast WiFi too if you need to work over lunch. I’ll be back to try some other menu items.

Love this place! Absolutely no filler in the drinks list here, all top quality and well thought out. Food is also top rate - highly recommend the beef neck! This time round there was one guy working who seemed pretty disinterested in serving anyone but every other time the staff have been excellent.
This is without doubt the best pub in the neighbourhood - fantastic beer, wonderful wine and great food.
Looked online and found this was rated the best pub food in Melbourne ,booked the extended family for the half lincoln. Entree was good, but letdown by the main. Beef cheeks were bland and portion size was small. Overall very disappointed with the food. The photos on the Facebook page don’t look anything like what is being served. My advise is go to a restaurant for food and pub for beer. Can think of so many pubs that serve better food at a fraction of the the price. At least the McDonald’s on the way home filled the gap.
Nice pub and friendly service. Food was very average. Steak overcooked and tiny, beetroot salad for 32 and it was very plain. Sausage was ok, but over all disappointing.
The Chicken Parma is legendary. They invented a drink for me. Very impressive.
Outstanding pub, in original condition! I've been coming here since 2001, and it's barely changed inside. What has changed over the years, is the quality of food and drinks, and today it offers really outstanding wine and beer selections, and an excellent menu full of really high quality fare. Definitely recommend the schnitzel, and they sure do know their way around a steak!
Enjoyed our afternoon here, friendly team on the floor and behind the bar. Loved the decor of the building and the cool breeze coming through the doors.
