Great coffee, wrap and vanilla slice. Excellent service. Bought a birthday cake here too. Highly recommend even if its just to take 5mins out of your day. Thanks. Be back soon.

We got a steak pie, quiche and a vanilla slice. It was about 12:30pm and the pies we not hot yet so we took it home and heated it in the oven. The pie was just a complete mess, tough stringy beef in a glue like gravy and the pastry was doughy and uncooked with way way too much salt. The quiche was completely dry and 50% pastry. Vanila slice was pretty nice because it wasnt too sweet and it was nice and creamy. Was quite expensive overall I think it was around 19 ?

Excellent cheesecake and fruit flans. Tried chocolate cake and it’s good - rich, dark and not too sweet - but would go back for the others. Highly recommended for cakes.

Amazing Vanilla slice and great pies - but unsure of if they made them. They admitted that they don’t make their own bread on premises - I feel like if you’re advertising yourself as a French bakery you need to do that. We ended up buying a baguette from there last minute that was in plastic and worse than a cheap supermarket baguette. We ended up having to buy a bread elsewhere as we didn’t want to bring it to our friend’s for dinner. Not a bakery. A patisserie maybe.

Seriously the best vanilla slice in Melbourne. Fluffy, light and not too sweet, I can't get enough! The new york baked cheesecake is also fluffy and wonderful. I'm looking forward to trying other items but haven't quite gotten past the vanilla slices yet!

When you need to eat sweet treats you come here. And today it was for a vanilla slice known as one of the best in Melbourne. There are lots of sweet choices as well as some savoury pies to choose from. Large cheesecakes, mid ales right up to wedding cakes on offer. There are only a few chairs and tables inside if you wanted to stay and eat but in warmer months you can sit outside and watch the world of Nicholson Street go by. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly sky. Good parking out the front. A must visit.
