Bought a silent alarm clock here, turned out not to be silent so exchanged for a different one which was cheaper. They wouldn’t refund the difference (claimed the manager was overseas and they weren’t able to do it), so instead gave me a store credit by writing my name in a book. Went back around 6 months later and there’s no record of my name in the book apparently, so no credit anymore.
Was here last week, and bought a high quality knife set. They knew exactly what I was after. Definitely the best kitchenware store in the north shore - and this is coming from a guy!
While I was checking out, spending nearly 80, my 14m old got ahold of a box and dragged it to the floor breaking 2 of the 3 items in it. I was utterly embarrassed as many onlookers said "oh, it was the baby'. Expecting a kind reply from the associate that came over, of 'that is ok, it was a complete accident.' (I have worked in retail for many years and know these things happen all the time and can easily be written off). Instead three of the associates working there quickly found the price and told me each item was 49.95, I gave them 100 and left quickly, embarrassed and afraid my son would break something else. So,while something broke, that for the actual cost was probably only 40 at the most, I had to pay full retail of 99.90 (.10) and got absolutely nothing from it. Pathetic, money hungry retails!!!!! Question to owner: Do you make your employees pay for something if they break it? There was no way I could have prevented this as the store is completely cluttered! WARNING to all Mums with kids, DO NOT GO IN THERE!! You will pay for it, literally! Never going back and will be sure to tell my network of mums and friends to not shop there as well!
Appalling store, don’t even bother. Rude staff, when I went back with a faulty product they told me they weren’t authorized to do a refund and wouldn’t even call the manager. Don’t expect good service, I’m surprised they’ve stayed open this long.
A great shopping experience here... Huge range and very knowledgeable staff helped me to find everything I was looking for...
This store is a complete rort. I bought some presents for my fiance for mothers day and while in there constantly said i'm not sure what she would like at least three to four times. I only found out once i got home and gave her the presents that she didn't like some of them and we wanted a bag. so we went to return a few of them. When we arrived they said all purchases are final and there is no refunds. Not once did they say that to me while i was in the store nor did they have a sign anywhere at the checkout or anywhere in the store at all that said this. the only place was when it was printed on the receipt. needless to say i will never be going back there again they are not honest and one would think that if you have someone there saying i don't know what she would like and looking around you would mention the no returns policy. by Australian law if that is the policy of the store then it must be clearly visible at the checkout. again I will never be going back there.
