I've been going here for years and have always enjoyed shopping with them, especially after the renovations as it is more spacious. Even if some of their items are high priced then the other stores nearby. However today I went in and we accidently broke a 2 sauce jar. We apologised multiple times for this and they did not even acknowledge our apologies, refused to make eye contact with us after and were just short with us from there on due to the inconvenience. We even offered to clean it up for them (when I say offered, we reached for the broom and everything) and they were just short and snappy, back to us, something we did not expect. After that, the manager came out and told the worker 'make sure you charge them for this'. I could not believe it. I work in retail and if a customer accidently breaks something, we don't just come out and tell our workers that. We also bought in excess of 100 in groceries and could not believe the treatment we received. Safe to say, our family will not be coming back after today, especially when there are 4 other grocery shops at the center that offer more competitive pricing. I did not give them 1 star and chose to give them 2 as I did like them before this for a long time.
