Team Takedown is an invitation-only amateur wrestling team, based in Melbourne, Australia. Our wrestling syllabus includes the Olympic styles of freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, and the submission wrestling style of grappling. Our sessions involve instructional drilling, live wrestling practice, and a high level of cardiovascular fitness, with a strong emphasis on safety. Team Takedown is a member of Wrestling Victoria, and Wrestling Australia. Team members have the opportunity to compete regularly in state, national and international Wrestling competitions under United World Wrestling (UWW) - the international governing body for the sport of amateur wrestling. Our Head Wrestling Coach Christopher Shen, and Assistant Coach Mick Wilson are accredited Level 1 Wrestling Coaches with the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme of the Australian Sports Commission.
