This place is really cool. There is a lot of fresh produce as well as other stuff such as pasta etc. The staff are friendly and really helpful.

I have been a loyal customer of Taste Growers East Village for several years now, but the some of their recent practices in the store have spurred me to write my first review. On three consecutive Saturday mornings, two of their staff have been transporting freshly baked(?) loaves of bread onto supermarket trolleys (the same ones used by customers), which are filthy and uncovered. The female staff member (short, with a mole on nose) then proceeds to unload and slice the bread. I cannot comment on whether this is standard practice, but I'm sure that I'll only be returning to purchase pre-packaged goods from now on.
It was our first time shopping here and it will be our last, on the 4th April 2021 we bought a few things but one was from a little freezer near the back which was a product called huhan’s kitchen I think, which turned out to be dated 02 February 2021 two months out of date, is it just me or does anyone think that they should not be aloud to sell out of date food especially 2 whole months out of date I’m sure trading standards would be very happy to hear about this. Please take care when shopping here and check all dates on your choices.
This is one of my favourite Deli, where you can find brands and products not available on big chain supermarkets. If you want to make something special, and remarkable for your next dinner you must visit this shop when you're around.
WARNING!!! Bought their watermelon, carrot cakes, 6 of them to be precise for a family party. They looked very good but tasted absolutely awful, the dog wouldn’t even eat it. I was embarrassed throughout the party. Absolutely disgusting. BE AWARE their cakes are months old and taste AWFUL.
I've recently tried your BioOrto pasta sauce. It's very fancy packaging and very expensive for such a low quality product. Like some other products in your store, it is NOT even labelled correctly according to Australian standards. Still love your store for the Italian products, just really disappointed with this recent purchase.
I am so glad I found this place. Offering products and brands not found at the average supermarket, makes it well worth a visit. Then add to that, pre-prepared meals which are fantastic, it makes this a must visit.
Love this store! Wheelchair accessible - counter tops at the deli section are very high and most of the time staff can’t see me to order but there is such friendly helpful staff if you just call out they will come round to the side to assist. Great selection of food that you can’t get in regular supermarkets. Their pastries especially croissants (baked on site) are to die for!!!!!!
