Found what I was after easily, staff friendly and helpful
I went this morning to buy an OPEN AND CLOSE sign for my door. It was metal on a chain. I nearly died.... It was 34.95 Went to the checkout and the price was now 45.95 They gave it to me for the price on the ticket. But my way of thinking is, WHAT JUMP'S UP MORE THAN 10.00 IN PRICE IN AN INCREASE IN ONE GO ON SMALL ITEM'S? WHAT IS GOING ON OUT THERE IN OUR ECONOMY?
I bought a Bergen desk in white a few days ago. When I purchased it, the staff member remarked that he was surprised it was there, it had been out of stock, so “must have been a customer return”. Thinking nothing of it (silly me) I brought the desk home and assembled it. True to the product reviews I read beforehand it was easy enough to assemble. Upon inspection, the allegedly “scratch resistant” surface was covered in tiny scratches. The desk itself is covered in dirty marks. The drawer mechanism isn’t the best. This desk has obviously been used and repackaged/returned, or it was a display model. I have tried to call the store directly but they don’t answer their phone, I then messaged Officeworks on Facebook only to be told to call their 1300 number - which I did but my call was disconnected twice without getting to speak to a customer device operator twice after waiting for upwards of 15 mins each time. This desk has been a total waste of my time. Thanks for nothing Officeworks. Also, notice you’ve upped the price from 85 to 95 in the past few days. Bit rich considering the quality of the desk.
