I have been traveling a lot and have stayed in many different hotels across Tasmania and Sydney in the last 2 weeks but, this one is entirely different. The recent renovations added a contemporary look to the rooms. The brass finished toilet fittings are classy, the shower room has a cut out in the wall for keeping the toiletries, and the basket of towels was a cute touch. I stayed in a one bedroom room and it was tightly packed but, the bed is king size and they managed to hide everything behind the bed giving that sleeping area spacious look. Behind the bed they have full wardrobe with mini bridge, utensils, coffee machine, well-lit make up table and lot of charging outlets. I wish the toilet and the shower room weren’t separated as it might have given even spacious feel to it. The switches are all touch control. Even the curtains can be moved by button which is a great way of forcing ourselves to get up naturally. There is a camera access to the main lobby door if some of your friends wants to dial in. The toiletries weren’t the best but decent. Wish it was bottles, not tubes. The train stations and the bus stops are in walking distance. The place is located near the Hyde Park and the Hyde Park Baracks - must visit places.

The room was very nice & the beds were really comfortable. Word of warning if you intend on using the bathroom between 10pm-3am for any reason the water will be turned off for construction. We were not informed of this until after we had paid and checked in.

Zara Tower Hotel was the WORST hotel experience I have ever had. We booked a one-bedroom apartment over the weekend, and hosted 3 friends over for dinner on Saturday night. The next day and without warning, we received an email from 'Jatin' in the Zara Reservations Team, which said, and I quote: "Management has taken the decision of charging 150.00 from your security deposit (50 per person)". "If we find more than 2 people staying in the apartment after 11pm, we will carry out the eviction without the refund of your security deposit". This was extremely threatening and completely ruined our stay. We needed to REPEATEDLY email Zara management to inform them that the guests stayed only for dinner (and did not sleep in the room as I presume Zara was suggesting?), and to ensure we received our deposit back. Zara's threats seemed like a total cash-grab, implying that the guests slept at the hotel so that Zara could charge us more money and keep our deposit. I have NEVER been threatened with an 'eviction' from a hotel before (and threatening to take my bond) for having friends over for dinner. The friends all CLEARLY left the room that night (as was confirmed by CCTV footage which we needed to go through with Zara Management - extremely time consuming to deal with). Absolutely appalling. Will NEVER book with Zara again. I hope this incident is followed up with Jatin in the Reservations Team.

Very fancy! A tad too industrial looking for my taste and too pricey for my pocket. If you like polished concrete floors and that industrial look. A little sterile and ‘cold’ but great if that’s your taste.

Some of the rooms here have recently been renovated and the style is very contemporary/industrial, I believe that some are still the older style so make sure to book the newer category rooms if you want this. The new rooms are super cool, spacious and have every amenity possible, only downside is that the water pressure in the shower is a little on the weak side. Strong water pressure in hotels is a big thing for me! The gym has everything you require and then some, even if you are a weight lifter you will appreciate some of the gear here - squat rack, real bench press, pull up bar etc Would recommend if you want something stylish and close enough to everything..

Stayed here in the three bedroom for a few nights was definitely impressed apartment was quite bigger than a standard Meriton appartment location though wish it was abit closer to daring harbour , also not sure if there was a parking lot there either , soo I parked in secure parking, was a short walk from the hotel
