When engaging a Family Lawyer the financial experience should be a fair and just experience. I believe, the experience should certainly NOT exceed to over 10 years for a financial settlement. Can you imagine the costs involved and the emotional trauma to families to run a case for over 10 years? I strongly advise against engaging Trevor Tockar as a Barrister. This review comment is from my own personal experience without prejudice. Google advises on their 'review policy' that comments can be from personal experience. It's an Australian's democratic right in the interest of the public to bring awareness to our people on issues of this matter. Corresponding on a professional level with Trevor Tockar was an experience I do not wish upon anyone within the Australian community. Contact the Australian Law Reform on advice with the Family Law Court prior to engaging a solicitor or a barrister to represent you in the Family Law Court. It is my belief the Family law Court is a private corporation operated by a Board of Directors that employ Federal Judges. Hence possible issues with prolonged cases that can cost thousands, hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars. Advice: do your own research.

A solid family law set. I've worked with a few WC barristers, all of which were good, though Catherine Spain is a clear standout. Fantastic attention to detail and great with clients. Highly recommended.

If your solicitor recommends Levy then sack your solicitor. He cant count, he has a terrible reputation, and he angers judges with his meandering. My ex was cross examined by him and it was just pathetic. Names wrong, numbers wrong, tax questions that went nowhere.

Same problems with Levy as everyone else has had. Largely innumerate and bamboozled by the most simple of financial simple concepts. If your spouse hires a first, second or third tier family law barrister and your dumb solicitor has recommended this troubled old guy then settle as early as you can.

Levy just doesnt pay attention to detail. If you go to litigation get a QC because this guy is just out of his depth. Watching him do cross examination is worse than watching paint dry.

I’m a solicitor working in Family Law and could not recommend a better Chambers. All Counsel are experts in the field and highly professional, I would not brief any other Chambers.

I also had problems with Levy. Turned up . Had double booked, raced through stuff . No follow up. Its a classic example of why the Family Court is such a mess. If there was proper oversight none of this would happen.
