Quite disappointed - I have previously had good experiences with Sydney Tools and the Blackburn store in particular, but after having gone in to see a tool chest and trolley combo which was described as their own brand and easy to source and manage, I bought a set. Got a call next day confirming the order but stating that the trolley would take another week to get in - no worries. Didn't hear anything, left it a couple of weeks (over Christmas), still no contact so called back and struggled to get a response. Got told its going to be another week. Not great but ok. Nothing heard again, call back after 2 weeks, fight to get someone to answer me, get told I'll get a call back, never do. Finally, another chase gets a response to say its not going to be in until March/April. Finally got a response and while the team was nice at the time, the whole experience has legitimately turned me off the store and brand in general. 6 week process for nothing, especially when I could have walked into Bunnings and gotten a similar set off the shelf. What I needed was literally any of the promised contact to happen, rather than me constantly chasing for info, and some recognition that a customer had parted with a decent chunk of change and didn't have a product yet. Still waiting for my refund now, after all this - not great.

Top notch service from a guy named Benjamin who helped me with my DEwalt sander purchase. I did not know much and he gave me the information I needed. He also spent time explaining things to me. I don't know why I did not go straight to Sydney Tools. Bunnings service destroyed my mood but thanks to Benjamin, my faith in great customer service was restored. Bunnings should be replaced by people like Benjamin.

I had the best customer service experience of my life dealing with Sydney Tools Blackburn. Brian sourced a product for me from interstate (that their store didn’t even stock) and shipped it to their store for pick up, all in the space of three days - in the midst of stage 4 lockdown. I was completely blown away by the follow up, contact /updates and genuine care for my order. I will definitely shop at Sydney Tools Blackburn again and would recommend to anyone. Thank you!
