Purchased tickets for a show to receive an email two weeks later saying that I’m on standby because they oversold due to changed capacity limit. Wouldn’t tell me where I was on the list so i could decide whether it was worth waiting or making plans for the date, just get a refund or wait in the dark, which seems unlikely because of how much they oversold versus capacity now. Information like this should be presented at purchase so that customers are aware of the possibility of changes like this and can make a decision accordingly. A shame because I was really looking forward to the show. Edit: received an email on 24/2/21 announcing refund within 7 days, refund still not processed as of 9/3/21, contacted office to find they had still not processed the refund yet, and to expect to wait a further 10 working days. So I am now effectively in a queue to process a refund for a show I purchased a ticket to and was put on a wait list for. I will be amazed if I manage to get my money back at all at this point.

My husband and I saw 'Return of the Jedi' at the Opera House on Saturday 17th August. It was my first experience seeing the Orchestra and it definitely won't be the last! The quality of the whole experience, the talent of the musicians.... it really was a spectacular event and I thank you for allowing us to witness it! I can't wait to see more films with beautiful orchestral accompaniment and I am recommending it to everyone!!

I haven't been to a lot of operas but I did catch La Bohemia here and I fell in love with the production. The only down side was that it was not the easiest venue for older people lots of stairs. To bad the toilets are not on the same floor as the bars.

The worst experience we had during our journey in Australia. Because of their irresponsive customer support, we ended up wasting two tickets for a show at Sydney Opera House, and so much time emailing them and waiting in queue when calling them. Until now, almost three weeks after our last email, we still haven’t got a reasonable solution from them. We are just disappointed that they’re not as professional as we had expected, and it appears to us that they’re purely interested in earning money from selling tickets and not concerned too much about the customers. We’ll certainly never attend another show of theirs, and we want to share our bad experience so that people are warned.

Great performance from Star Wars Live... HOWEVER, please test your theater before playing a movie at the ICC again... The most uncomfortable cheap seats and armrests in the galaxy (even though they are new) and the sound travels horribly ... Dont ever play there please! let s have the Empire Strikes back at the OPERA HOUSE!
