I've started the process of transferring my power over to Mojo Power and it has been OK so far, with most contact happening via email. It has drawn out a bit due to the installation of the smart meter, with responses to emails happening slower as the weeks go by. I sent an email about 2 hours ago and hadn't had a reply so I looked up the phone number for Mojo Power and then saw the reviews on Google. I was a little alarmed after reading a few of them. I was even more alarmed when I read about the installation costs! With the initial installation cost being around 150! And a second call out if needed being well over 200! I was shocked as I have not been informed of this at any point of the transfer over of my supply. After calling Mojo Power I was informed that the above rates are only charged for complex installations. If this had gone ahead I wouldn't have provided informed consent for this installation. I will be proceeding with caution..

Really wonderful and helpful service, the representative Daniel E. was so friendly and professional with his assistance and customer service skills and made the switching over experience very easy and pleasant. Thanks Mojo Power :)

I recently moved from Energy Australia to Mojo and it was very simple to change, without much effort on my part. I received my smart meter in a couple of weeks. I’m finding the mojo app helpful as well and has a real-time function which looks like it will give more insight to my power usage. So far so good!

Caution !! You only get these great rates if you have a Smart meter, you will get charged a higher rate until the Smart meter is installed (currently they it's a 6 to 10 week wait for this installation). If you live in a unit block you will be charged to have the power provider attend (at your own expense - 157.45 for their 1st visit & then 279.91 for the 2nd visit), will need permission to get the power turned off as it impacts everyone, got someone on life support you have no chance, none of this info is advised when you sign up, good luck.

Absolutely terrible company. I thought I would switch as the promotion looked good of 50 off. I was told a smart meter was required for the discount. I stated that can be arranged after move in as strata approval was required. I was refused the discount, told it cannot be applied even though it is not given until six months after. The 'manager' of sales refused to escalate my query to their higher manager, until I stated a complaint would be made, to which they responded condescendingly their manager would provide the same response. Fed up with the strict conditions, I cancelled before a connection was made. I tried to contract with my exisiting retailer and because Mojo couldn't be bothered to remove the credit from Equifax, I was not able to recontract. Instead I had to go to EWON and the creditor to have the records removed.

Customer service is non-existent outside of 9-5 Monday to Friday. Multiple frustrating interactions with this company as a result. Avoid at all costs.

I've had a great experience with them. I've never had to call customer service so I can't comment on that but I found the online sign up very easy and they gave me a meter quickly. I've never had an issue with their bills - mine are based on actual meter readings, not estimates. My bills are definitlely lower though I haven't tried to compare exactly. We pay the annual fee and then summer bills are 90 per month (after solar credits) and winter about 140. Family of 4 in a relatively large house using occasional air con. Winter heating is by gas. The App has been easy to use and really clear where we are using electricity and how the solar reduces the cost.
