This place has been around for so long, it has a very ‘western Chinese restaurant’ feel to it (you know, the kind of place you’d order a honey chicken). Very nostalgic. I don’t think the uniforms have changed since they opened. I noticed the wait staff offered us more of the ‘western’ options. I had to hail down the cart with the tripe as she was going to bypass us automatically assuming we wouldn’t want it. Over all it’s not bad, but far from the best yum cha in town.

First of all I was very impressed with their customer service. starting from booking table to arriving at the restaurant and all the way through table service, every step the customer service was excellent. Staff were friendly, attentive and have good sense of humour. It is very COVID safe. They provided two pairs of chopsticks for each one of us so that we don't cross contaminate the food. The tables are spaced out very nicely and I felt comfortable dining there. The food is nice and reasonably priced. They also gave us complementary fruits and desserts. I wouldn't say it's the best food I have ever had but I would definitely go back for the overall experience.
Very good dining experience at Marigold. Ordered Peking Duck, Stir Fried beef with Black Bean And Seasonal Vegetables. Requested for the duck meat to be done differently. Good recommendation by the Manager, Stephen. Had the duck done with fried rice and it goes perfectly well with the chilli oil. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Kudos to the servers. They are always so speedy in their response.
Great yum cha place Expect long lines at popular times, but the lines generally move pretty quickly

I’ve been coming here for years for yum cha. Nothing else in Sydney comes close to the food. The service is very Chinese but I lived in China for 8 years so I’m used to it.
Organised chaos and thoroughly enjoyable I cannot wait to take other friends there - thinking of any reason to go back ASAP! The absolute best Chinese and atmosphere I’ve experienced in a long time, I felt like a little kid again.
We have wedding party at Marigold on 27/03/21 and just Amazing for everything, the food, service and staff were all amazing. Strongly recommend to celebrate wedding venue with Marigold
