Fairly detailed fountain. It close to the Macquarie Street entrance of the Botanical Gardens.
Another fountain as tribute to Governor Arthur Phillip by sculptor, Achille Simonetti commissioned to create a work by Sir Henry Parkes. One of the most attractive setting of all fountain I find in Sydney. The way its framed by trees and manicured gardens is impressive. This is accessible from either Macquarie Street or Shakespeare Place towards Mitchell Library. Great place for all ages. There's street parking or few parking stations nearby. It's walkable from Martin Place station. Public lavatory is more towards the Calyx. A space of tranquility. Unveiled in 1897 as part of Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee.
A statue and fountain on a grand scale.
