Hi, I think GHD should withdraw from providing services to the Adani coal mine project. Dirty coal is killing our planet. GHD documents say the company is committed to sustainable projects. ???

GHD is a fantastic company in all ways. They are professional and are helping to build Adani, who will contribute millions of dollars into Australia that our govt needs to keep our economy going. WELL DONE GHD.

As a young person concerned about the future, and the capacity for renewable energy to be at the forefront of it all, I'm deeply concerned at the Adani Carmichael coal mine. I'm glad that GHD is committed to being a sustainable engineering firm which is why I'm so perplexed to their work on the opaquely destructive open cut coal mine. Bad for air, bad for land and bad for jobs. Please reconsider your work with Adani.

It is unconscionable that GHD would continue to work with the disastrous Adani Carmichael mine... after all we know about the current climate crisis. It boggles my mind as to why they would risk ruining their reputation when there are so many other projects that they could be and already are working in, such as renewable energy. They need to not renew any more contracts related to the Adani Coal mine. They can do better and have a chance!!

I am appalled and dismayed by the actions of GHD. Whilst GHD claims to be a leader in renewable energy, they are currently leading the world into a dark future by working for the Adani Carmichael coal mine. GHD could do so much better but unfortunately they have soiled themselves by associating with a company that has abused Aboriginal land rights, environmental laws and LIED about the jobs that they will provide. The only thing Adani will provide is further emissions and destruction to Australia's ecosystem and economy. I urge GHD to reject the Adani coal mine and focus on sustainable and ethical projects. As a STEM student, I will NEVER work with them and neither will other young people.

I awoke from a deep slumber, brushed the sleep from my eyes and rolled out of bed. I sat down at the table with a cup of coffee and leafed through the newspaper. I groaned as I saw the headline 'heatwave hits Sydney with record breaking summer heat' my heart sank every year it seemed to be getting hotter and hotter and I had no idea why. This stayed in the back of my mind as the day flowed past me until I saw something that brought it to the forefront of my consciousness. It was bold, powerful and filled my cold heart with warmth (But not on a systemic global climatic scale). It was a protest before the Sydney GHD office. I spoke to a friendly AYCC volunteer and was enlightend with devastating news. It turns out the reason for these terrible heat waves is due to something called climate change and it is increasing due to carbon emissions. I learned that we have less then a decade to keep global climate increase below 1.5 degrees below pre industrial levels and it is more important to keep emissions down and keep coal in the ground. GHD, the company the people were protesting outside of, is helping to build the adani mine. Adani is like the nail in the coffin for the great barrier reef, like the straw to a sea turtle, like the deregulation to the fossil fuel industry, like the equality to capitalism, like leftover hummus to AYCC bootcamps, a devastating relationship to the climate crisis. As an a member of society I am very disappointed with GHDs connection to adani and am sad they are on the wrong side of history All things considered GHD kinda smelly ngl 1/5

GHD continues to work with polluting corporations like Adani. Their work with such businesses and industries is appalling given the climate crisis. GHD is choosing to contribute to biodiversity loss and ecological collapse through such contracts. If business-as-usual continues in this way, instead of leading us to a clean future, GHD is leading us to destruction. GHD, build our future, not Adani's mine!

Sadly GHD doesn't think it needs to live up to its claim to be socially and environmentally responsible. Instead it has decided to work for Adani, and contribute to the destruction of Australia's Great Barrier Reef.
