I contacted them as I have found a cat that has been coming to a house that is unoccupied in Naremburn. Before doing this, I asked around to several neighbours if they owned this cat and they did not. The cat does not have a collar either. Also, the North Sydney council tells you to contact them so I did, asking if they could check if the cat was owned by checking the microchip. It seems that this request was a nuisance for them but if they provide the council a service (or have partnered with the council) and we pay council rates, shouldn't they check on the cat if she is owned/lost/homeless at the very least? Instead I was told it was not my problem and they only would do something if the cat was sick or badly injured. I was simply told to turn a blind eye on this cat, after giving me a lecture about cats allowed to roam however this cat does not belong to any neighbors around the area. This has left a bad taste in my mouth as I am someone who truly cares for animals.

Very caring and professional. I had a positive experience when meeting my preferred pet. I love the concern and caring of all animals in their care. The staff are knowledgeable and professional I can't speak highly enough of this centre
Excellent staff! My heart melts when I see the little animals’ faces. Love your work guys, keep it up!
So impressed with what these people do on so little. We applied to foster a cat and they responded quickly, gave us all the info and contact we needed to make us feel supported. We decided to adopt him and so happy we did. Have since become a regular donor to support their work, and love seeing how they improve lives (animals and humans!). Thank you SDCH.
A great experience, very rewarding, just see the beauty faces of those doggies is absolutely precious... :)
Very caring professional and Friendly . Thank you to the young lady who made my visit easy by showing her care for the lost and stressed creature I took in on that day 100%
Adopted our Amstaff from here, the staff are friendly and professional and the fact they have a small area where you can sit and meet the dogs up close is a wonderful touch
I think we got one of the eldest cats from you, his name was Jasper. The vets said he was the eldest cat they had ever seen, that still had such a baby face. (we never knew exactly how old he was, however was told he was around 10 when we got him from the Sydney dogs and cats home). Sadly Jasper passed away two weeks ago, but we had a long time with him.. since 2009... he was beautiful and we loved him to bits. Please people keep sponsoring these cats, because Jasper was kept alive for a long time due to donations, he lived a happy life with us, and he will be greatly missed.
