I was recently instructed by the local council to engage hydraulic / hydrologic engineers, to prepare a report that would address some serious flood-related issues on a block of land that I am intending to subdivide. The council requested the following: •\t2D hydraulic modelling of proposal & downstream subcatchment including a range of blockage sensitivities on downstream inlet to confirm potential impacts of flooding for neighbouring properties, and •\tConfirmation of post developed design flood conditions to establish Flood Planning Levels for future dwellings I obtained four fee proposals from as many Sydney based companies and ultimately decided to engage Catchment Simulation Solutions (CSS). This company took less than 2 weeks to complete their report, yet, in their fee proposal they stated they would need 3 weeks. This company proved to be utmost professional, prompt and efficient, yet friendly, pleasant and caring. The communication with them was smooth, their replies to my inquiries were instant, whilst the information/data contained in their state-of-the-art report was exactly what the Council requested: nothing less and nothing more. Brilliant!
