RIP Vella Nero. The friendly service is gone. The always-spectacular coffee is gone. The sensational food is gone. I gave these guys one last try this morning and it will be my last visit. Order was taken by a cold, emotionless employee who struggled to make eye contact or utter a simple 'thank you'. The barista was a little more animated and gave the impression that he cared about who would drink his coffee. Unfortunately, the espresso was sub-par but it was good enough to help wash-down the stale almond croissant.
I much prefer this cafe now vs it’s former self. Quiet, peaceful and still makes a great coffee. Coffee has a good balance of flavours. Staff friendly and polite. Muffins looks fresh and yummy as well.
Great coffee that they roast themselves. In summer they do a great iced coffee range
Amazing coffee and special lunch meals with little Japanese touch..
Friendly staff, nice and relaxed atmosphere which isn't too crowded! Coffee was nice too and had plenty of tables free to be able to get some early morning work done. Will definitely come back again some time!
