In the very chic & European laneway of Ash Street is this cafe. One side is the more formal osteria with hot dishes, wine and the other the cafe serving ready made sandwiches, a few dishes of the day and coffee both dine in and takeaway. On this occasion I had coffee & food at the cafe and the coffees are great. There us pizza by the slice which changes daily & this time it was marinated artichokes & salami. The topping was nice but the base was so hard and burnt (black) which was disappointing. The vegetarian frittata of the day was lovely and fluffy. Service is prompt and friendly.

There is no better pasta in Sydney, all made in house! The menu changes all the time, is super inventive and fresh. I love the wine list with really interesting skin-contact options. Friendly and informed service. Have been back again and again!
Had an early Saturday dinner here, without a reservation and although we knew we had limited time the staff were fantastic and and we weren't pressured. The meals were interesting, delicious and large portions for all courses. Both meat and vegetarian options. Well worth a visit.
Really authentic Italian experience here with some beautiful dishes. We did the 'feed us' menu @65pp which didn't disappoint, lots of great dishes and the food kept coming. Included a beautiful pork, fish and pasta dish plus finished up with a lovely panacotta. Recommended!
After hearing good things, unfortunately we had a terrible experience all round. Portions on the banquet menu (which we were forced to have due to having 8 on our table) were tiny. 1 small bowl of salad and 1 small bowl of potatoes for the whole table. Basil cream served as dessert which tasted like bad pasta sauce. Our waitress had serious attitude and clearly didn't want to be there. We are more than happy to pay for good food and service, but our bill came to over 1,000 for 8 when neither the food nor service came close to what you'd expect at this price point.
Great ️️️ This place serves amazing coffee! Great atmosphere and delicious homemade Italian pastries. Service is awesome and I love how Cody this place is.
Excellent food. Casual in atmosphere but refined in taste. 3 entrees: tuna, sourdough, croquette (all excellent but the tuna was the highlight) Mains: tonnarelli and ragu Great flavours but the tonnarelli was ill-equipped to soak up all the lovely sauce. Dessert: panna cotta /w blood orange granita and gelato.
Just had the most lovely Melbourne cup lunch! food was stunning & atmosphere great. Staff are exceptional. Stylish yet warm city hideaway in the middle of all the action.
