Beautiful beautiful gallery with phenomenal pieces. Love visiting this gallery to see a mix of pieces from different artistic movements. I am always especially enchanted by their Aboriginal/First Nations/Indigenous artworks. I also thoroughly enjoyed the the Murakami exhibition last year.

Free to visit. There were a lot of exhibits areas under construction. Some interesting mix of contemporary and non-Australian art. The art gallery’s temperature was a bit hot for some reasons. Clean and appears to be COVID safe. Otherwise, it’s still a good place to visit.

Easily one of my top 3 places to visit in Sydney. Happened to come at the right time while the Archibald Prize exhibition was on. Worth paying the admission. Perfect place to chill if the weather is stinking hot; the rooms are well air conditioned. I come to Sydney about every 3 months and this is always a stop for me, there’s something new to see. Can easily spend half a day here on even an hour to fill the gap.

Always enjoy wander around. Often join the free guided tour to hear other guides different bits of trivia.

Lovely works from the colonial period as well as many older European ones. Was surprised to find that it was not a very large building though, which was compacted by the closure of half of the spaces in the contemporary sections. Although best part was that it is free!

A welcoming art environment in really nice surrounds as well. Worth coming to just to look at the building from the outside! Art after hours is an excellent idea (and it's free to see most of the exhibits)
