Expect a bit of a wait as there aren't many tables. Especially if you are a family and you want to sit together as a group. The sushi is ok but it's quite small so you need to really have a lot to fill up. This is not a problem with only this sushi train, but the common across the whole brand. The problem is bit by bit even though dishes start from 3 it's really easy to really add up. It's pretty easy for someone to eat 30 to 40 of sushi. Unfortunately most of the time you also don't have many of the other varieties and there is only the very standard salmon and tuna. You can have salmon by itself, salmon with onion on top, salmon with some mayonnaise, salmon with a bit of flamed. You get the idea. Even kingfish is a rarity. You might get 1 then they won't give you any more. Even going at 10 in the morning so don't have stock of Most stuff. I've never seen this happened at other sushi trains. You have lots of things on the menu such as different types of fish or prawns but generally they don't seem to be available. There are lots of the type of Sushi which is something wrapped in rice and then wrapped in seaweed and cut into little portions. That type of sushi is more suited for kids it seems to be the type that keeps to going around the conveyor belt. You can also order hot food and that might be an option if you don't want to end up spending 40 a head.

Usually I come here and the food is amazing, however I didn't get to eat anything because the wait was so long and there was no sense of urgency with the staff. There needs to be a better time management system. And a later closing time, 9:30? What is that?

More gimmick than good food! I give this place the absolute minimum number of stars. This is your basic sushi train type restaurant. The food here is poor, the salmon was over cooked, dry and the sauce was burnt. The eggplant tempura was soggy. The Japanese tea is served in a coffee mug and the service is super rushed. Overall cheap ingredients, left out too long and overuse of mayonnaise. The table and decor feel cluttered. I have added a few images so you get an idea. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere, with so many great options available in Maroubra I don’t think I will visit again.

Services 5 out of 10 Cold welcome, not too rude but definitely seems "sick of this job" face.Don't give your tea or water until you ask for it Environment and Hygiene 3 out of 10 Sticky table, Thumbs down Food 1 out of 10 One of the worst sushi i even eat in my life, please don't call that sushi, call it sticky rice. Price 3 out of 10 Average 25 per person, not too full. Well that's pretty average sushi train's price.

Enjoyed it for the first time, won’t be the last, for sure.

From the moment the management changed, also the quality and service dropped. We were used to come here every time on the way back from the beach... And I have to say... This time we were very disappointed. Smaller portions, lower quality, I can't recommend this place to anyone

The sushi is good. They never follow the distance rule and the service is always terrible.
