For 3.80 a plate, this experience should be better. Waitress took me to my seat, but did not ask if I’d like a drink (which I did). Selection on the train was small, and after looking at the menu I see why - it’s a very small menu. Portion sizes were smaller than most of the competition including the popular sushi train in The Galleries next door. Raised my hand to try and grab the attention of a waitress to no luck. After asking ‘excuse me’ a few times to the cook, she took my order. 15 minutes later the order was nowhere to be found - another cook saw I wasn’t eating and asked. The second time I ordered 2 portions of the same dish and received 1. Getting the bill was a case of standing up, which was enough to get the attention of the waitress. However, they failed to count my bottle of water ordered at the beginning. I almost tapped my card for an order without the bottle of water on the bill, then finally she asked and I said yes it is from here. Legal card surcharge was applied. Overall pretty disappointing food and service, however if they got a bit more organised it would be fine, as the staff were all nice and friendly.

Came across this corner sushi place when shopping with missus. First impression on the entrance was not really good as it seems unorganised. They seems to be understaff as we waited quite a while before someone noticed us and show us the area to sit. The menu is really disaster as it is wet, smelly, torn and sticky. My fingers actually smells of rotten soy sauce after touching it. We ordered a few sushi plates. They ran out of tuna when we ordered the Kaisen Don. So I changed to the Salmon Don which looks like a bigger size of a salmon nigiri. The soft shell crab is one tiny piece where it don’t even looks like a crab at all. Am not sure which part they took out. We only get like a snack of sushi only when they ran out most of the items and basically a lot of items are unavailable too. Food is alright but there are other places which serves better than here. They really should change a new menus since there are a lot of item unavailable.
Great sushi and nigiri selection - authentic japanese
Very disappointed. Staff just pointed at a check in sign, then pointed at a seat. No communication at all. Wanted to order a drink but didn't have the chance, a water did appear beside me though.. Staff behind the train appear to purposely avoid eye contact so that you don't order anything. After 15 minutes trying i ordered crumbed chicken and got 3 prawns. Will not come back
This is a great place to eat fresh sushi for a very reasonable price of 3.50 per plate. It has a great variety but not as much as the parent store on the intersection of Sussex and Liverpool. But the shop is much newer and the place looks clean. My only issue is that I noticed inconsistent serving sizes where some nirigis have very small pieces of fish on top.
This was my favorite sushi train in Sydney for a long while until a terrible lunch today. Rice was either too soft and mushy until it felt like a paste or the rice was uncooked and grainy. I gave my feedback and they took the plate back. But almost all the plates had the same problem on the belt on a few more tries and I just ended my meal instead, disappointed. I remember meeting the boss there in the past and the quality was excellent. Looks like this time there was no one watching their quality.
This is a fairly typical sushi train restaurant with the nice addition of tablets at each table so that you can order dishes not available on the belt electronically and they get delivered to your table. The sushi is really nice and fantastically priced for a basic plate (four tuna rolls, for instance). It's in a really convenient location too!
Good value, variety of dishes
