This is the second times I’ve been to Surly’s but this time was a Friday night so the BBQ was actually on. We ordered the BBQ platter and the brisket platter. The BBQ platter was a bit much for one person, which is perfect. The brisket platter was a little bit too little. The two together was a great amount of food for two people especially once you add drinks and desert. The drinks were a bit pricey at 19 each but the food was spot on. Their brisket, which is how I judge bbq, was good. Not perfect but a really solid flavour and tenderness. The staff were friendly if a little distant. Definitely a place to repeat.

Delicious great quality BBQ meats, delicious cocktails and a decent range of tap beers. Atmosphere and Decor are great and really add to the dining experience. Staff were super friendly and provided great customer service. The Cajun Shrimp were amazing!

Great place; loud fun exciting vibe. Great tasting brisket and fantastic hot sauce. Extremely friendly and conscientious bar tender. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back... Infact might go order another brisket now

Absolutely phenomenal food. Vegan burger (pictured) was delicious. I have been to many bars and such in Austin, Dallas & Arlington, the decor is exactly what you see over there. Food here is much better though! Staff were friendly & accommodating. Covid safe operations were efficient. Will certainly be going back.

My friend and I went for the Bottomless BBQ. One thing you worry about with these bottomless deals is that the restaurant is going to push the foods that aren't as good or that they won't be regularly refilling glasses and plates. I am ecstatic to say that Surly's does neither. Drinks were brought as soon as we were seated and then refilled as soon as they were empty. They regularly stopped by the table to find out what we liked, what we wanted more of, and also offer suggestion for other foods that weren't on the original platter. To top it off, everything tasted amazing. If you're a fan of barbecued meats and you want to try a bit of everything, you cannot go wrong. Highlights were the brisket, the chicken thigh and the oh so smooth and luscious mash and gravy. Great selection of wines as well. We will 100% be going again.

First off ... I strongly advise you book a table and not turn up on speck. We did that and almost didn't get a seat but only just. The atmosphere is quaint and the staff friendly. I ordered the sliced brisket and pulled pork. The brisket was cooked to perfection. The pulled pork not so. There just seemed to be a lack of flavour. Hence I removed 1 star. Maybe it was a bad batch. I did report this as we left and recieved a discount on our meal. Definitely worth a visit but remember to book ahead.

We weren’t going to book but we’re glad we did. They were turning away heaps of people without bookings. Tried burgers and they were really tasty. Also had a sample of their smoked brisket. That was great. So tender. Definitely going back. Well stocked bar and the cocktails we tried were beautiful. Friendly happy staff and solid COVID protocols. Sports on tv.
