Definitely one of our favourites and we go back again and again and are never disappointed. The food is amazing. Modern Japanese. The cocktail are innovative with a Japanese twist. It’s a bit expensive for the serving sizes but totally worth the effort. Great fun for a date or a group meal. Make sure to book in advance as this place is always busy. Highly recommended.

One of the best degustation experience around. The price is incredibly cheap for what they offer. Staff are super friendly.

Went for a friend's birthday and did the set menu. Everything was fantastic! The food is some of the best I've had in a long time and every course was well spaced over the length of the meal. On top of that, Simon gave us great service and was more than happy to answer all of our questions and knew the menu well. I'm not the biggest fan of fish but the snapper was amazing and I can see why it's a popular dish!

We stayed at the QT for the weekend for my birthday. Whilst we were here we booked my birthday dinner at Yamagen, just downstairs. I cannot express my amazement enough. Food breathtaking. Best Japanese food I've ever tasted. I lost count of how many times I said "wow!" "omg delicious!" Service on point. Simon looked after us all night and I can't thank him enough. He was humble, knew the menu, professional, kind and had an answer to every question we had. Thank you Simon and staff at Yamagen. We will definitely be coming back for more!

Really don’t know what all the fuss is about. My experience here was very average indeed. Food was below par in comparison to several Japanese restaurants we frequent further south on the gold coast. Service was ok, staff were friendly but not very reactive (ordered drinks three times before they arrived) and only one waiter seemed to know the menu well.. after waiting way too long for a main dish we cancelled it and asked for the bill. From this point we were just ignored until my husband went up to the till point to pay what was owed and we left (no customer service from the manager standing a few metres away) ? Would not recommend.

Upscale dining at Gold Coast's QT, this modern Japanese fusion restaurant offers menu options for varied tastes and an array of unique cocktails.

Wow! Wow! Wow! What an amazing Japanese dining experience with ever dish more delicious than the rest. If you’re a visitor to Surfers Paradise or a GC local, I would encourage you to experience this amazing food at least once as the flavours are just stunning! Items not to miss are the thinly slides snapper, the Wagyu beef robata and Crisp pork belly with Nashi pear, wasabi, watermelon radish, smoked vinegar. Definitely a foodie must visit.
