We hired the Bondi 4, for 5 days and travelled to Burnett Heads, we had a wonderful time even though it rained very heavily, we enjoyed the spacious motor home. The motor home had a excellent layout and we were impressed with the bed that raised to the ceiling, which freed up a lot of living space. The motor home was very clean and well prepared with all the accessories needed for our holiday. We were given an excellent induction which made it easier for us, as we had never used a motorhome of this size before. Thank you Sunshine Campervan Hire for a great holiday.

Ruined our holiday! Covid restrictions were ignored as my wife and I were asked to sit either side of the owner on a very small couch as she showed us home made instructional videos. Then our departure was delayed by over an hour as both motorhome batteries were flat causing us to rush the 5 1/2 hour drive to our destination camp site before it closed. On arrival, power from the mains to the motorhome failed to charge the cabin battery, leaving us to make beds etc in the dark. A call to the company the next day descovered that the mains power, fridge, water pump and hot water switches to the cabin had been left off. As a result our food spoilt. The next day a thorough expection of the motorhome found dirty dishes in the pantry, dirty water in the fresh water tank leaving a silt residue in the basin, shower hose joint broken and unusable, leaking grey water tank pipe held in place with zip ties, incorrect awning sides issued, bedding cushions worn and slats beneath the main bed warped, aluminium trim fixed to the external cabin wall with duct tape came loose and rattled constantly while driving. Worse still to come. On removing our bedsheets we discovered a large urine stain on the mattress cover and mattress! Absolutly disgusted with this company and would not recommend. Asked for, and received a partial discount, and apology but blaming the cleaner (“who usually does a good job”), does not explain all faults. If we could give less than one star we would!
We just got back from a fantastic trip around Queensland in our high-end camper . We were impressed when presented with the van. It was fully kitted out to a high standard with utensils/accessories to match. The van was mid-size, perfect for our requirements and didn’t disappoint. Martin gave us a really detailed introduction to the van which filled us with confidence. We returned the van after cleaning inside and out and had no problem getting out deposit back. We also left a few beers as a thank-you. We’d thoroughly recommend this service as it’s a great way to see Straya!!!! Needless to say, we we’re sad to return back the keys.
Pretty disappointing you have to put down 7500 as a security deposit. Big thumbs down from me
We hired the Airlie and were extremely impressed. Martin’s attention to detail is what makes this camper fantastic. It is spacious, has everything that you would need. The bed is very comfortable (and massive) and the storage for clothes and food is perfect. The addition of the outdoor furniture with a cooker is great for the sunny climate in QLD. We were stoked with the solar power too as it continually charges the battery during the day! I will be hiring this again.
Immaculate campervan in perfect condition. Very comfortable inside and has all the amenities for an independent travel experience, even a shower in the back! For the price it can't be beat, you get a car hire and hotel for the price of one. Highly recommended and very professional operation .
