I purchased a dress on the 2/9/19 and I purchased it for a birthday event. When I went to return my dress I didn’t check the return policy’s but the terms were not on the bottom of the receipt. I had lost a little weight so I need to bring it back. When I came to the store to return my dress yesterday the check out lady was busy having a casual chat with two ladies she had just finished serving. This chat continued for 10mins and it was mainly about weight loss struggles which I understand. When the check lady came available she had a very displeased expression. I had removed the tags but kept them with the straps for the dress in the bag. When I told her why I was returning the dress she back very short with me and rude. She said that there was a 30 day return policy. I asked if there was anything she could do because it was only one day out, she went to her manager and can back explaining the have strict rules and one was to not remove the tags. I felt judged for my weight loss and very shocked with her poor the customer service was. I purchased my dress with Afterpay but in the store. The website says that you can return your time with Afterpay but there is no date requirement but for in store PURCHASES it needs to be in 30 day with tags. The online rules are not detailed enough and I’ll never return to City Chic again. This store has lost me as a customer and I’ll be sure to share my poor and petty customer service experience with everyone I know.
