Concept didn't end up helping me as I fell pregnant naturally several months after I had stopped seeing them. I felt like I was treated like a pin cushion having endless cycles of blood tests which resulted in basically nothing but a fee to pay. They were not flexible as I had to go to Subiaco in the morning for the tests, even though this made me late for work. It was basically their way or the highway as I could not do the blood tests anywhere else - it had to be Subiaco. When I said I couldn't make appointments due to work, the nurse's attitude was very condescending and she made me feel like I wasn't committed enough to falling pregnant. They also sold me medication which I didn't need, and didn't let me return it for a refund. At the end of all the testing I had a huge fee to pay without any result.
We have our precious son thanks to Dr. Thompson. Cannot thank him enough
Had our first appointment with Dr Artley last week after moving across from another fertility clinic. Dr Artley explained things really well and was personable and friendly. His secretary was also lovely and helpful. It really does go to show being a little warm and giving a friendly smile during interactions can make a huge difference.
I can't recommend Concept enough. I had such a wonderful experience with Dr Thompson and the team there. Every single person in the team I dealt with there from the specialist, nurses, phlebotomists, to the receptionists, etc, was friendly, caring, empathetic and supportive. Dr Thompson was excellent - he is not only highly skilled but also kind and genuine, and willing to answer any question no matter how small. He encouraged us to try alternative fertility treatments before IVF. We were successful with IVF (first go) in the end. The treatment costs were also far less than other clinics I had spoken to earlier.
Dr Graeme Thompson is the best, I definitely recommend him. Service was fantastic, the receptionist was friendly & helpful.
Beware - in my experience they will frighten you and push you towards invasive treatments rather than advise on less expensive ones or other ways of boosting fertility and increasing your chances through lifestyle changes etc. The British doctor I saw (can't remember his name) spoke to me for ten minutes in a condescending tone and charged hundreds. I did end up with a baby but that was through insisting on one dose of Clomid which worked first time and not the conveyer belt of IVF they wanted me on before trying anything less profitable. Do your research and be firm - remember that IVF is a big business and there is a lot you can do before spending thousands on invasive treatments to boost your chances of pregnancy. And get on the waiting list at King Edward down the road while you are at it - the doctors there have nothing to gain from upselling you expensive treatments.
Worst yoghurt ever.... I understand that greek yoghurt is supposed to be bitter but this was to much for me to handle. Decor was nice though.
