Gorgeous historical theatre in the heart of Sydney. Stunning chandelier's throughout the foyer and upstairs in the dress circle. COVID 19 restrictions in place, seperated seating. Saw David Bowie Orchestrated which was amazing
Great show. Had a blast listening to Elton's music as scored by the magnificent orchestra.
Saw Elton John on Fri 26 Mar. Terrible, there was no social distancing practiced. Long queues for the ladies and to buy drinks and still no social distancing. It was at full capacity and everyone was sitting close to each other, standing and singing. No at State Theatre checked to see that I had properly signed in. They just showed me the QR code and asked me to sign in. Its not a Covid Safeplace!! Very disappointed!!

Beautiful, old theatre, amazingly clean too. Excellent aircon and good viewing of the performers.Upstairs in the dress circle is for those with two good legs or steepness of the place could be challenging. A true gem on Sydney's entertainment scene. Great location close to Town Hall railway station, light rail, QVB.
Beautiful venue, could stare at the ceiling and walls for hours admiring all the detail. Sound is awesome and even far up in the tiers the view is still great.
