The hiring manager told my highly educated daughter who has a bachelor degree and completed some units of the masters rehabilitation degree that she didn't have the skills to be employed which is terrible. Also not okay for a man a lot older than her to talk to her like that. Then accused her of making her qualifications up, when she worked as a RN at Cara with profound disabilities and profound mental health conditions. Then accused her of lying about her sister, who is my daughter and does have a profound disability, and we were all scared she was going to die, luckily my darling daughter made a full recovery,. Not only was she dealing with the decline of her sisters, then she gets treated like this, poor thing.

I contacted star inc regarding employment for living skills teacher position, as I am working as a relief special education teacher for the department of education. First they changed the time two times, and then when I changed the time because my sister was hospitalised as no amount of money or interview is going to come before anyone's health to me, and I called and the lady told me she would pass this on, a month later they call me in to do an interview, they didn't even come to get me, the poor receptionist brought me to where they were and the manager kept insisting I hadn't finished my bachelor degree, which I had and flat out lied to me that there were no teaching positions available, and I had said that is okay, thanks for your time, I then asked them if they wanted to see my qualifications, he flat out said no, then a month later after no contact accused me of fraud saying my references told him that, when my references are people I consider family. Then instead of apologising he played the poor me victim card and put me down in an email, which is why I decided to give the company 1 star. I hope no one goes through this process or bullying I endured which is why I thought to give a heads up to anyone applying as this happened to me. Also as a woman just starting adulthood being in her early 20's, do not appreciate being spoken to by a man like that, and as someone with a sister with a severe disability, who has many health problems, I hope the disability sector hires people who actually cares about individuals and people who respect woman and man as equal.
