These photos are of Zouki’s Cafe within St Vincent’s Private Hospital at Chermside. The cafe is roomy, with indoor and outdoor seating, excellent coffee and a range of pre-packaged food which is very convenient for staff or visitors who just need to take a quick break or to pick up something for a patient.

Stayed in overnight after an ACL reconstruction. Right from checkin to discharge the staff were very friendly, competent and helpful. The food was delicious with plenty of variety. Best hospital experience I've had and would highly recommend
I arrived in emergency at 3.30am with a very inflamed appendix and by 10.30am I was in surgery having it removed. The entire team - doctors, nurses, orderlies, caterers and cleaners - showed the utmost professionalism while being friendly and keeping me informed and reassured the entire time. While I didn't plan on spending the weekend before Christmas having emergency surgery, St Vincent's Private made it the best experience it could be
This private hospital, it's administration staff, ward nurses, ICU nurses and specialists/doctors/surgeons are void of any understanding of compassion nor have any genuine empathy. It is a production line of patients with no concern for next of kin only when the patient is alive and ready to leave. My husband underwent open heart surgery which was clouded in mystery before, during and after. I was basically invisible. ICU being one on one care is a joke. I was abused by admin and nursing staff and ignored by the surgeon. There were absolute gems on staff but were few and far between. Only one nurse ever asked was I ok. It was an horrific surgery. My husband needs plastic surgery to fix the mess on his arm where a graft was harvested. ALWAYS ask what they are doing or you will never know. I have PTSD as a result of our experience there. I also agree with other reviews regarding the overuse of pain killers and physical and verbal abuse. The literature we were given was very out of date and staff could not answer basic questions. Departments need to know what each other do for consistency of care. Something needs to change.
Caring empathetic and professional
Cardiac Ward 2B excellent Nurses and Team Leader Sara, I was never told the results of my blood tests, and some Enrolled Nurses lacked simple communication skills like 'do you have pain'? when they should have been asking is your advanced sensory peripheral neuropathy condition worse? Probably not the hospital's fault but my Cardiologist transferred me from being a Private patient to a public patient without my permission, I am Dept of Veterans Affairs Gold card, I didn't need the added stress post discharge whilst in Heart Failure. The transfer to Prince Charles was conducted without my permission and relay to me by his secretary in an email post discharge. I asked him (Cardiologist) whilst an inpatient in 2B, Can I stay under you as a private patient in this private hospital? to which he replied. Yes, so much for Trust.
I could not be more appreciative of all the care, support and dignity that the staff from 1C gave my daughter and family through such a challenging time. Every staff member was just amazing in the care they provided us from clinical team to catering and cleaning staff. You do such a wonderful job providing more than just care but the little things that made us feel welcomed. During the COVID-19 you all were outstanding and I could not recommend your facility more highly. Thank you
I’ve had two stays in this hospital since just before Christmas . The thing I noticed most was that everyone I came across seemed to Love their job , and this impacted on the kind and caring way they treated me . From the surgeon down the the people who brought my food , everyone was lovely ! The food was amazing and you can order what you want when you want and it’s freshly made . I couldn’t have asked for More and would highly recommend this hospital to everyone
