Absolutely disgraceful to make money from others misfortunes. Travelled down the highway when the petrol light came on. Googled this petrol station which said it was open until 6pm. Arrived 5.50pm with no signs of anyone around. Rang the ‘after hours’ number & was told someone could come out & turn the bowser on but it would cost 35 for a call out fee. Had no choice but to pay it. So called owner turned up within minutes (such an inconvenience considering she only lived up the road). She took our money but she did give us a complimentary lecture to watch the fuel gauge!! Absolute rip-off considering the website said the place was open. Word from the friendly locals say she does it all the time.

Very old style gas station with single pump that was locked when we got there and it was 4 in the afternoon on Saturday. We went round the back of the convenience store to see if anyone was around - it was a ghost town. I was sure the rapture had happened. A very kind lady at the pub said she could call someone out but they might charge us. We reckoned one of the few men that were in that pub might have a jerry can of fuel... But they just talked amongst themselves. The fuel light had been on for a while and we knew we wouldn't get very far before breaking down so we decided to accept that. The lady turned up and somewhat reluctantly unlocked the single fuel pump. No mention of the charge so we didn't mention it, as advised by the lady at the pub. So it might be best pushing forward and trying to get to the next major gas station. I imagine we'll be the talk of the town for a while.

Joke! I was about to run out of fuel. Every km counts. This was the nearest petrol station, so I drove there. All closed not a single person around even if it supposed to be open on a Thursday according to Google. Unbelievable!

This little petrol station in St.lawrence saved us when we were practically running on empty. We also saw on one of the reviews the biscuits were fantastic so we gave them a go. The review was not wrong. Just what you need when you have that smug full petrol tank feeling.

For a small town, reasonable priced fuel and products. Lovely couple and a great home chef. Old picture theatre building. Good for a good drive break or feed etc.

Would give no stars if an option. Travelling between Townsville to Brisbane and planned the trip based on fuel stops. You're store had a little sign on the door saying you decided to go to town for the day. Might be back later. I would have been stranded if it wasn't for your kind neighbours who came over, explained what a joke this was and sold me some of his fuel. Small town reliability definitely over! You need to go and buy the guy across the road a carton of coke for running back and forth to let your would be customers know. And update the number on your fuel bowser to one that's actually connected.

Wasn't open during advertised operating hours (4pm sunday). Charged a 30 call out fee for petrol. Called ahead to confirm but the number registered online is incorrect. When I asked the lady who owned the place if she would like me to update her operating hours and phone number online she said "no"
