Good customer service
The variety of products has increased over the decades I've been visiting Spotlights and while there are many extra craft products available, the core fabrics are still key. Seasonal styles come and go, but you should be able to find most of what you'd need for general or specialist sewing.
I purchased few quilt sets as they were on sale, spending nearly 450. After coming home we saw that couple of sets were missing a pillow case and one of the quilt cover had missing buttons. Is it why they were on sale? Felt utterly cheated and would never step into Spotlight again.
Love spotlight lots of choice, great specials. The only downside is they are always busy because they're so good!

Very disappointed. My Mum came home the other day upset and without getting the item she had gone to Spotlight for. My mother is older and needed assistance with finding a pattern. When she approached a retail assistant she was told to “Go help yourself” and pointed to the area where the patterns were. When my Mum asked why she wouldn’t help her she was told by the woman behind the counter that “We don’t help customers it’s self service, I’ve worked here for four years and that’s how we do it here”. She then turned to the other assistant and continued her in depth conversation. The service there was VERY disappointing and my Mum will now be shopping at Spotlight Mount Gravatt as the staff are extremely helpful and polite. Management really needs to train their staff better, as far as I’m concerned it’s a job not a social gathering. After working in retail for 8 years if any of my staff behaved in that manner there’d be problems.
Brilliant babysitting service for my wife. I can drop her off here and then go shop for hours and she will be well taken care of.
