Every staff was very helpful. I didn't appreciate being yelled at by a staff, when I was only looking for a number ticket so I could take my turn. As I say everyone else on staff couldn't have been nicer.

I am a Spotlight member. I love looking through to see what's new. This time I needed a curtain for a doorway to prevent heat loss from my family room. They had everything I needed bar some hardware to hang them on plasterboard walls.
If I could give this a 0, I would. Tried calling the store multiple times, letting it ring out and no one would pick up. Came into the store, was ignored and given no service. When I was walking around trying to find a worker, there were three of them having a chat and laugh about their weekend, as the work phones were continuously ringing. They continued to ignored me even though they could see I was trying to get help. The only positive was the girl at the register who was apologetic and nice about the situation.
I've been shopping at this spotlight very regularly (several times per month) for years and my experiences there are always pretty consistent. Not fantastic, but not terrible either. There's often a lot of low stock, or items just not stocked at this spotlight, but that's pretty standard with all Spotlight stores. Overall, I'm usually able to find what I need. Being in the homemaker centre, this spotlight store gets extremely busy during peak times (weekends and Thursday nights) and they never seem to have extra staff on during these times, which means the waits can be rather significant. Staff at the front checkouts and the party counter are usually very helpful. The cutting/fabric counter however is a real hit and miss. There never seem to be enough staff at the cutting counter and a lot of them are slow or unfriendly. One middle-aged lady who always seems to be working never smile or makes conversation unless shes talking to a friend or chatting with coworkers. She also made my life difficult one by claiming my member/phone number wasn't in the system, even though it always works. When I suggested she maybe put the number in wrong, she looked positively offended at my suggestion. I try to avoid being served by her if possible. I also had an interaction here once during the height of COVID when I was served by a girl who was clearly sick (red, watery eyes and coughing constantly). It was probably just a cold but I was appalled that they allowed her to be at work during COVID when she was visibly ill. Overall, this store does what it says on the box and you will usually find what you need - but don't except top-notch service.
Good range of products
Able to drop in on the way from work. Was able to get what I wanted. Was very popular on the Saturday that I visited. At the same time I was able to look at other shops at the Home Maker Centre.
I like shopping at spotlight, always bargain and variety of fabric to suit my needs. Customer service in this place is great, helpful staff, happy and friendly. I like the specials they have from time to time as I can save money. I love sewing so this is the best place for me. Spotlight Gepps Cross is very organized, its better than others...
Good range of fabric, the sales are good. However the customer service ranges from woeful to not interested. I need to feel fabric before I buy it which is the only reason I don't buy it online.
